Fishery Rules
Our rules are designed to protect the fish, anglers, wildlife and premises, helping everyone enjoy a safe and respectful visit.
All anglers are expected to familiarise themselves with the rules that apply to the lake they are fishing.
Specimen Pool
Strictly barbless hooks.
Please ensure you bring proof of a valid rod licence.
No litter. All rubbish must be taken away with you.
Maximum of 2 rods. 3 rods may be permitted at management's discretion with the appropriate licence.
All nets, mats, cradles and weigh slings must be dipped before fishing.
No lead core and no fixed leads. Free-running leads are recommended. Safe-zone leaders may be used provided the lead ejects easily.
If you are not using a leader, at least 2 feet of rig tubing must be used, especially when using braid as the main line.
Each angler must have suitable fish-care equipment, including a 42"–50" fish-safe landing net, large carp mat/cradle or cat mat, weigh sling, minimum 3lb test curve rods, 18lb/20lb+ line and a fish-care kit. 80lb+ braid is required where appropriate. 6ft mats can be provided if required.
Live baiting is allowed. Dead baits may be purchased on-site or from a supermarket. Only fish caught on-site may be used as live bait and appropriate live-baiting equipment must be used.
No surface fishing. Zigs are allowed below the surface.
Bait in moderation. Fresh baits are recommended. Bait boats are allowed.
No nuts of any kind. No unsourced meat or fish products. Shelf-life baits are not recommended.
No fake baits are permitted.
Rods must not be left unattended.
No retaining or movement of fish is permitted.
Fish must be photographed over a mat or cradle while kneeling down. Never stand while holding a fish.
No fires. BBQs are permitted only when conditions are safe and they are raised from the ground.
Alcohol in moderation. No drugs. Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.
Zero tolerance applies to verbal or physical abuse towards staff or other anglers.
Radios are allowed, but all noise must be kept to a minimum so other anglers are not disturbed.
No dogs or pets are allowed.
Home Farm Fisheries accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to persons, equipment or vehicles while on the premises.

Children & Guests
Persons under 16 years of age are not allowed to fish the specimen lake unless accompanied by an adult.
All non-fishing guests are charged £10 per 24 hours.
Baits
- Boilies and ground bait must be used in moderation.
- No nuts of any description.
- No bloodworm or joker.
- No pet food.
General Policies
Each angler is responsible for keeping their peg clean and taking all rubbish away.
We operate a hook-checking policy.
Please respect the fish and handle them carefully, particularly when taking photographs.
Never stand while holding a fish. Always kneel over a suitable mat or cradle.
Fish should not be kept out of the water for longer than necessary.
Keep a bucket of water nearby to keep fish wet, especially during warmer weather.
